about arkiveofmyown

Hi, my name is Kimmy.

The one-woman band behind arkiveofmyown, a whimsical little world of illustrated goods where tangerines have feelings, stickers have sass, and everything is designed with a big squishy heart.

I’m an illustrator and small business owner who turns doodles into joyful, sentimental (and slightly silly) creations, from cheeky stickers and cozy stationery to playful prints and quirky earrings. Each piece is dreamed, drawn, and packaged by me, with lots of love and a sprinkle of pastel magic.

My signature tangerine character often pops up in my work alongside food and animal friends, bringing a blend of nostalgia, humor, and comfort to everyday life. Whether you’re here for a giggle, a gift, or a little serotonin boost, I got you.

more about kimmy

A Malaysian-born, animation graduate-turned-illustrator

currently living in England.

I’ve been drawing characters for as long as I could remember, from doodling on textbooks to now turning it into a full-time career (and yes, earning adult money, who knew?). While I may not have decades of experience, I bring fresh, bold ideas to the table and a unique perspective to every project I take on.

Character design is my true passion. I work closely with clients to make sure their vision is realised in the most creative and imaginative way possible, because every story deserves a great character.

My dream? To work with people from all over the world and inspire the next generation of artists, so they too can bring their childhood dream to life. (P.S. If you want to talk about my lifelong dream of owning a winery in Tuscany, Italy... well, that’s story for another time.)

u have Qs? i have As!

Where did you graduate from?
Nottingham Trent University, where there’s a shocking number of drawing tablets scattered around campus. I’m convinced they grow on trees.

What did you study?
Animation! I was locked in since Year 10, no turning back, no plan B. Just a lifetime of drawing weird things on my sketchbooks and iPad.

What results did you get?
Results that made my Asian parents proud and probably convinced them I’m not just drawing cartoons all day.

Where is Arkiveofmyown based?
England! Or as we call it, "the land of tea, rain, and questionable weather forecasts."

Will Arkiveofmyown be based in the same city forever and ever?
Like the shape of frozen nuggets in a bag, nothing is certain. But I’m currently comfy, so who knows?

When was Arkiveofmyown established?
2020, I think...

Do you do commissions?
Of course! Gotta get those bags, am I right? 💸

How do I contact you for commissions?
Shoot me a DM on Instagram or hit up the contact section on my website, I’m always checking my inbox.

Are your commissions overpriced?
Not at all! I believe art should be accessible to everyone (unless your commission is 8,000 pages long with extra fireworks and a live soundtrack, then we’ll talk).

How does Arkiveofmyown survive in this fast-paced world?
By doing art markets, running an online shop, cranking out commissions, and of course, your love and support. It’s like a magic potion of art and caffeine.

Is there another way I can support you?
It's a work-in-progress but I'm working on a tiered Ko-fi membership! Stay tuned for monthly exclusive perks like random doodles, stickers, prints, bookmarks and maybe even a secret handshake shhh...

Where are your art markets based?
It’s all around! Check out the events page for updates, and you might just catch me at one near you or at least at a random location sipping coffee and doodling.

Does Arkiveofmyown ship worldwide?
Unfortunately, not yet. But hey, shipping’s expensive and I’m still trying to figure out the whole international postage thing. Please be patient while I sort out the pricey shipping stuff.
